SLOPING PINE WOODWORKING
sloping pine woodworking
Since my retirement in 2009, I have spent more time at one of my favourite hobbies, woodworking. I started out making Muskoka chairs for family and friends and that led to people commissioning chairs of their own. I like to take on custom projects, which meet a person’s specific needs. After the 2014 tornado, which brought down over 30 trees on our lot, I arranged for a portable sawmill to come to my lot and cut up the oak. I ended up with over 5000 board feet of oak lumber, which I use in my furniture making. My work ranges from charcuterie and cutting boards to serving trays and furniture, both indoor and outdoor.

I often use coloured epoxy for accents and prefer Odie’s Oil for a smooth, non-toxic, food-safe finish.
Custom furniture to order. Tables, bookcases, shelving units, dressers, bars and more. If desired I will use epoxy for accents.
Comfortable Muskoka chairs (in three sizes), custom outdoor furniture, birdhouses, both decorative and functional, planter boxes and more.
